About the Fund

The Milwaukee Drivers Health and Welfare Trust Fund is a nonprofit that serves Teamster-represented employees and their families in the Wisconsin area. Our organization strives to provide industry-leading health and welfare benefits to our over 4,000 active and retired members and their dependents. We are proud to support our members with progressive benefits and opportunities to take charge of their health, so they can remain dedicated to living happy and fulfilling lives while bettering our community.

Highlights

The Milwaukee Drivers Health and Welfare Fund offers one of the top multi-employer health plans in Wisconsin. The Plan provides active and retired participants comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and disability coverage as well as additional financial protection.

The Plan is sponsored and administered by the Board of Trustees, which consists of selected Employer and Union representatives who have entered into Collective Bargaining Agreements that relate to the Plan.

Plan Details–Actives

Employers can choose Plan A or Plan B for health care coverage. Both plans offer the same range of services; however, out-of-pocket expenses differ.

Plan A has a higher monthly premium, but participants pay lower out-of-pocket expenses when receiving covered services.

Plan B has a lower monthly premium, but participants pay higher out-of-pocket expenses when receiving covered services.

Plan Details–Retirees

Non-Medicare-eligible and Medicare-eligible retirees can continue to receive health coverage under the Plan once they retire as long as they continue to make monthly self-payments to the Fund.

Non-Medicare-eligible coverage is offered to retirees under the age of 65.

Medicare-eligible coverage is offered to retirees over the age of 65.
